Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a regenerative treatment that uses a concentrated portion of your own blood containing platelets, growth factors, and active proteins that support tissue repair, collagen stimulation, and overall skin rejuvenation. PRP is commonly used to improve skin texture, fine lines, skin quality, and hair restoration by supporting the body’s natural regenerative processes.

As collagen and elastin production naturally decreases over time, PRP therapy may assist with supporting healthier-looking skin, improving skin texture and tone, and promoting overall skin rejuvenation. PRP may also be used alongside other non-surgical aesthetic treatments as part of a personalised treatment plan.

A small blood sample is collected and processed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma from other blood components. A medical-grade topical anaesthetic is applied prior to treatment to maximise comfort throughout the procedure.

The Platelet Rich Plasma is then applied or injected into targeted treatment areas such as the face, under-eye area, scalp, neck, décolletage, or hands depending on individual concerns and treatment goals. Treatments may be performed using skin needling, microinjections, or specialised delivery devices.

Platelet Rich Plasma therapy may assist with improving overall skin quality, hydration, texture, and elasticity while supporting collagen stimulation and skin rejuvenation. PRP is commonly used to address concerns such as fine lines, uneven skin texture, acne scarring, dull skin, and signs of skin ageing.

Treatment areas may include the face, neck, décolletage, under-eye area, hands, and certain areas of the body affected by scarring or stretch marks.

Platelet Rich Plasma may also be used as part of hair restoration treatments designed to support scalp health and encourage healthier-looking hair growth. PRP hair restoration treatments are commonly performed for both male and female hair thinning concerns following consultation and assessment.

Some clients may notice an initial improvement in skin hydration and overall skin appearance within several weeks following treatment. Improvements in skin texture, collagen support, and overall skin quality generally continue developing progressively over time as part of the body’s natural regenerative process.

Results vary between individuals depending on skin condition, age, lifestyle, and treatment area.

A series of treatments is commonly recommended for optimal results, typically spaced approximately 4 to 6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments may be recommended periodically depending on individual treatment goals and concerns.

All treatments are provided following consultation and assessment by qualified AHPRA registered health professionals to determine individual suitability.
